Shirley Fuchs, 89 passed away peacefully at the Elms of Cranbury, Cranbury NJ on Nov. 5, 2013. Born on the lower east side of New York City to Ethel and Isidore Jacobs, she graduated Seward Park High School. Shirley was a code breaker for the Department of the Navy during WWII, in Washington DC. She retired from the City of New York, Real Estate Foreclosure Division. She was a life member and past president of Hadassah, in Brooklyn. She loved music, swimming and especially the movies. She is predeceased by her first husband, Howard Eagon, her second husband, David Fuchs, her sister, Helen Israel and her granddaughter, Elizabeth Hope Roessner. She is survived by daughter Dolores Eagon Skolnick and her husband Barry Skolnick, daughter Michele Rubin, granddaughter Dr. Helen Skolnick and her husband Dr. Daniel Goldsmith, and two great grandchildren. Shirley Fuchs was buried on November 6, 2013, at Cedar Park Cemetery, in New Jersey. She was a kind and caring person and will be missed by those who knew her.
