Silvana “Silvia” Krculic, 76, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on March 19, 2026. Born on October 20, 1949, in Yugoslavia to Pierina and Ivan Brkaric, she immigrated to the United States in 1969.

She took immense satisfaction in the milestone of purchasing her own home, which served as the foundation where she raised her three children and eventually welcomed her grandchildren.
A woman of quiet reflection, Silvia had a lifelong love for poetry. She frequently wrote in her native language, using her poetry to maintain a deep connection to her heritage and her home in Croatia. Through her writing, she preserved the emotions and traditions of her roots, ensuring they remained a vibrant part of her family’s life in New York.
Silvia was predeceased by her husband, Lino Krculic, in 2012. She is survived by her children: Allen and his partner Brian, Alexandra and her husband Eric, and Chris and his wife Diane. She was a grandmother to four: Ben and Connor (sons of Allen), Isabella (daughter of Alexandra), and Marissa (daughter of Chris).
