My younger brother, Steve, was my first playmate, confidante, and friend. There was almost never a time when  I was unable to turn to him. I grew up with him. I and my youngest brother, Dave, love him very, very much. 

But there was much more to Steve than his being a beloved brother and stepbrother (to Risa), loyal son to Molly and Irv—and stepson (to Ann)—and beloved, doting uncle and grand uncle. Steve was a fighter. He suffered a variety of health crises and perservered, remaining as active and engaged as possible. He also was a genuinely good person, a rare commodity today.

If there is any justice in this universe, and I have to believe there is, we’ll see each other again. Love you forever, Steve.
