She passed peacefully at her home in Brooklyn, NY. She was 97 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she met her husband Steve who was serving in the US Army during WW11. They were married shortly after the war and set up home in Park Slope where they lived for 75 years.
Virginia was a professional seamstress, and her talent was reflected in wedding gowns & dresses she made for her daughters & friends. She loved to sew and we always said “she had hands of gold.”
Virginia was the beloved mother of Joanne & Rino Degano, Rosemary & Salvatore Mulia and Stephanie & Matthew Howard. Second mother to Teresa Zentkovich (her beloved niece). She also was a proud grandmother of Robyn & Bryan Giard, Adam & Patricia Mulia and Veronica & Stefano Stoppani, and great grandmother of Isabella, Bruno, Felipe, Sammy & Penny along with many nieces & nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Virginia treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. She had a welcoming personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went, and her friends returned the love.
