Hey Dad, 
I am back again. I hope you've been doing well. I just finished up my cardio exam and I hope I passed. I would love just the little bump to make sure I'm ok. I'm going to London over break which I think will be pretty fun. I wish you could be here to help me study a bit, although I'm sure you might not remember this stuff too much. I love you and thanks for all your help.

Hey Dad, 

I'm back again. The same stuff has just been weighing on me a lot. I found out my friend got into so many schools, including a bunch that they aren't even considering that I would've loved to even have a chance. I am so happy for her and she deserved it and more. I just wish I could have had some of that too. I wish I could feel like I chose to go to my school. I wish i could have gone to a better rated school. i wish i could even feel happy where I am right now. I just know it is something I can never change, and that bothers me a lot. When I got into college, I never once questioned my decision because I got to pick. Now, I am just regretting not having withdrawn my application. Having even a 50/50 shot of getting to have that euphoric feeling my friend got from getting into some of the best med schools in the state I would have taken in a heart beat. I love the people I've met, but i feel like a joke. I'm just waiting for it all to turn out ok, I just don't see how it will right now and its weighing on me pretty heavily. I hope you can help me. I will do what it takes to be a doctor, I just will need a lot of help getting to where I am needed and where I am meant to be. Because right now, I feel like I'm just working my ass off to be unhappy, and its making it not worth it anymore.

Hey Dad, 

Happy belated birthday. I hope you are doing ok. I'm sorry i missed talking to you on your birthday, school has just been a lot for me. I don't really know who to talk to about it so I thought I would just tell you if that's ok. I feel like a failure. I am working so hard and barely making it through. On top of that, I feel like my time in undergrad and applying to medical school was just not worth it. I only got into one school and it is slowly hitting me that I will probably not end up getting into a residency that I really want right after I graduate. I am trying to be thankful that I am still going to be an MD, it is just really hard to see the bright side of things right now. You helped me over the weekend and tried to speak to me in the car (I hope you remember), I just hope you know I am doing everything I can and working as hard as I can. Hopefully, you can help me through the rest of med school so that I can end up being a surgeon. I'm sorry to keep asking for help, but I love you and I thank you for everything you have already done. I'll talk to you later dad.

Hey Dad, 

I hope you're doing good. I miss you. I have my MSK exam coming up in a week and I know it might be too much to ask but I could really use as much help as you can give me. I feel better about this exam than I did in Immuno and FBS2, but this exam is more dense. I feel like I am gonna need as much help as possible. I can't fail. I know you have helped me a lot, and I'm sorry to keep asking, but hopefully you can help me one more time.

I could really use some help. Med school has been a lot and I have my immunology exam tomorrow. If you could help me get through this, it would be amazing. I have worked harder than I ever have for this exam and I need it to go well this time. I have done everything I can and I just need a little push to get me over the hump. Please if you can help, do it one more time for me.

So you might know it already but I'm starting medical school tomorrow. I'm a little nervous about it because I know its not as big as NYU, but I'm still gonna be an M.D. I know you'll be with me through it and I've got about 4 more years until I can be Dr. Maurer like you. I hope you're proud of me.

I could really use some help. Its been a few months and I'm not feeling too great about med school right now. I feel unwanted and not good enough. I really hope  you can somehow help me hear from some of these MD schools. I just want a chance. Sloan's been telling me you mightve been talking to her through the ladybugs lol. I hope you're watching over me too. I really need it now more than ever.

Hey Dad, 

I just wanted to say that I love you and miss you. I graduated college a few days ago, and I just took my MCAT again to try and get a slightly higher score (I know you were there with me helping me do my best). I am starting my application to medical school today and I am hoping that I will get in my first time around. I wish you could have been here to see who I've become. I miss you everyday.

I know it's been a while. I thought you'd want to know that I graduated around 10 days ago. I'm starting my med school applications right now and I am really hoping to get in my first time around. I just need that slightly higher MCAT score, which I know you helped me get through last weekend. I love you and I miss you everyday. I wish you could have been here to see me now.

Hey Dad, 
I know it's been a while. The last year has been a tough one for me but I'm making it through. I finally made it to taking the MCAT this summer. It's really scary and I don't know how its gonna go but I am gonna try my best. I love you. 

I just came across this obituary and I noticed Wayne’s son commenting.  I played football with Wayne at Midwood and were close for years.
He was passionate about everything he did and was a great guy.  I’m sorry for his passing.
Robert - he would be proud of you.   Don’t ever doubt that.
