Hello Marantz family and friends, My name is Dinyar Dalal. You don't know me but I worked with Yakov at NYCT. Although we were in different departments but we sat close to each other. In the entire NYCT I was the only one Yakov was so close to. We would chat whenever we had time, mostly about health supplements. As time passed by we became very close friends. I always consulted him about herbs and supplements. After retiring there was hardly a day that i did not receive any text message from him. All of a sudden two weeks passed by and I started worrying so I sent a text and there was no answer. After sending several messages when i did not get any answer I reluctantly searched his name (fearing of the worst thing) and found out that my dearest friend had passed away. It really saddened me to the bottom of my heart. I can't believe I lost a beautiful soul who was my best friend in this world.  To this day I really don't know what happened to him. Yakov and I were very good friends at work and after retirement. There was hardly a day that I did not receive an email from him. I always relied on his opinion whether it was about health or anything else. 
When I did not receive any email from him for several days I tried to enquire via emails but did not receive any response. I was scared and did not want to hear any bad news. I think about him everyday and prayed that he is ok. I only wanted to hear that he is ok- may be he lost his cell phone, etc. Today I gathered some courage and decided to do a google search so that I can write to his wife and find out if he is ok but learned of the saddest news which I was trying to avoid.
It was so sudden and I am wondering how did this happen? I will appreciate it if someone can contact me and let me know what happened to my dearest friend Yakov. 

I will miss him dearly. He will remain in my heart as long as I live and I will continue to pray for him.

I will be very happy to hear from any family member when possible.

May the good Lord rest his soul in Eternal Peace and keep his family members safe and healthy.
