Gary Lynn Simmons Sr.

Gary Lynn Simmons, Sr. age 61, of Brooksville, FL passed away in his home on Thursday, October 23, 2014. He was the husband of Donna Simmons. Born in Roanoke, VA a son of the late Joseph Junior Simmons and survived by his mother: Evelyn Louise Simmons. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, cars and riding horses. Prior to his retirement he was a carpet installer. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Donna and son: Gary “Butch” Simmons of Brooksville and daughter: Maggie Marie Simmons of Hardy, VA. He is the grandfather of Gregory Simmons and Hunter Angell. He is also survived by brothers: Kenneth Simmons of Hardy, VA; Donald Simmons of Spring Hill, FL; Joseph Simmons of Florida; and Michael D. Simmons of Roanoke, VA and sisters: Judy Laing of Bedford, VA; Rhonda Simmons, Susan Simmons and Rita Simmons all of Roanoke, VA. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 1 PM, at the family residence with the gathering starting at 12 noon. Please call Donna for details.
