Hildred V. Stanquist Bertsch

Hildred V. Bertsch, 78, of Cloverleaf Farms (Brooksville) Florida, died on Monday, August 18, 2014, at the Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center, in Brooksville. Born in Chicago, Illinois on February 7, 1936, to the late Edward & Theresa (DeVries) Stanquist. Hildred moved to Cloverleaf in 1996 with her husband Floyd C. Bertsch from Kouts, Indiana. She worked for the Sherman Williams Paint Company, and the Bellevue Baptist Church, as a secretary, and as a legal secretary for a law firm, all in Chicago, IL. Hildred also owned and operated a fabric store, Stitch ’N Time, in Dyer, IN. before moving to FL. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Floyd C. Bertsch in 2011, daughter, Janice C. Bertsch in 1989, and her brother Ed Stanquist. She is survived by her daughters; Debra L. Roberts and husband Joseph C. Roberts, of Spring Hill, FL., and Lynda L. McMillan and husband Corry D. McMillan of Cumming, GA., granddaughters; Anna, Emma, Jenna Roberts, all of Spring Hill, FL., and Lian McMillan, of Cumming, Ga. Christian by faith, Hildred was a longtime member of the Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Brooksville, FL., where she was in the past active as both the Hand Bell Choir Director and Editor of the church newsletter. Hildred was also the past President of the Cloverleaf Farms Homeowners Association and past Editor of the Cloverleaf Newsletter. A Memorial Service will be held at the Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 200 Mount Fair Avenue, Brooksville, Florida 34601, at 11:00AM Friday August 22, 2014, with Reverend David Franklin officiating.
