Nous sommes encore sous le choc. Nous avons connu Joe (c’est sous ce nom que nous avons connu Cally) et Lina lors d’un voyage de vélo au Portugal et plus tard dans le Languedoc et Roussillon.  Cally était un très bon cycliste et faisait partie de ce que j’appelle avec beaucoup de respect les « badass ». C’était un tough. En même temps, Cally était un gars d’une grande générosité.  Manon et moi avons eu beaucoup de plaisir à côtoyer Cally et Lina et nous vous garderons toujours dans nos pensées et notre cœur. Nous offrons nos plus sincères condoléances à Lina, Gloria, Luciano et à toute la famille.

C’est avec une grande émotion et chagrin que j’apprends le décès de Cally.  Mes pensées vous accompagnent dans cette douloureuse épreuve.  Côtoyer Cally au travail pendant plusieurs années en quelques mot, pas facile de choisir, dévoué, rassembleur, intègre, patient, généreux, discret, fier et apprécié de tous.  Une personne qui aimait la vie.   Travailler à ses côtés a été un plaisir. Je me souviendrai toujours de tous les bons moments du café du matin et autour de la table au repas du midi.
Cally ta vie s’est arrêtée mais ton souvenir restera présent dans nos cœurs.

To the family of Cally,

I am also a colleague of Cally and worked with him for many years when he was in charge of the Varennes facility. It was always a delight interfacing with him with his sense of humour, positive attitude and love of life. He always treated everyone with politeness and respect. This is so tragic as he left us too early.
I send my sincere condolences to all of his family as  he will be sorely missed. I will always treasure my memories of him.

I had the pleasure of working with Cally for many years in Varennes. I have many fond memories of him, his infectious sense of humor, his joie de vivre. He loved life and he was always supportive of everyone.   His door was always open.  I will never forget him.

LIna, I am so sorry that you have lost Cally.  He was a wonderful man. At Nuvo, we appreciated his work ethic and the skill that he employed managing the Varennes plant, but mostly we appreciated the wonderful and caring way that he interacted with people. His sense of humour was legendary. I will always remember him with great fondness. Hang in there during this incredibly difficult time.

My deepest condolences to Calogero's family and friends for such sad news .  My thoughts are with you at this very difficult time .  I have very fond memories of Calogero and his gentle demeanor and how he was such a sweet and compassionate person.

Cally and I became friends in high school. Part of the Italian east end kids/group of friends. He stood out with his genuine smile and friendly demeanor and yes, his smarts. Everything came easy for him. Cally was humble.  One day by chance we discovered we shared a birthday.  January 2, 1961. That created a playful bond between us. We always wished each a very happy birthday before heading home for Christmas break. And adding, “ See you next year!”

We didn’t stay in touch after high school. But he did with mutual friends of mine,  Lidia and Virginio.  I heard of  his cycling adventures and his love of family and friends..  To my fellow Capricorn,  I’ll be thinking of you on our birthday with a happy memory of our high school days.

Sabrina and Danny, my most sincerest condolences on the loss of your brother. May you and you family rejoice in the memories shared and may your brother be your guiding light in the journey ahead. Rita

Lina and family , this is so surreal and tragic. I am so incredibly sorry. My heart breaks for you. I will always cherish the memories of Cally throughout my sister’s high school days and beyond . You are in my prayers.
