Ellen Englehart Di Iorio

Ellen was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend who was adored by all. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 50 years, Giuseppe Di Iorio and daughter Maria Di Iorio (Jason Auerback), who she meant the world to.

She will be forever cherished by her grandchildren Joseph and Matthew who hold a special place in their hearts for their nana.

Daughter of the late Harold and Marguerite Englehart, Ellen was a loving sister to Ian Englehart (Gwen) and Faye Gillis, as well as to sister-in-laws, Elena Rodi (Vincenzo) and Irene Di Silvestri (Pino). She was aunt to Giovanna Rodi (Michael-Andrea, Gianluca), Marisa Rodi (Giovanni, Michael and Adriano), Michael Rodi (Stephanie, Vincenzo), Corey Englehart, Jennifer Englehart (Jamie, Mila and Olivia) and Caitlin Gillis (Jason).

A special thank you to her devoted caregivers Karine and Wendy.

We were blessed to have Ellen in our lives and will continue to admire and cherish her strength, courage and determination.

She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by many relatives and friends.

Due to pandemic-related restrictions, a private funeral service will be held.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

In remembrance of Ellen’s life, the family requests that any charitable donation be made to the MS Society of Canada or Mira Foundation in her honour.
