Maurice Doyle

On the morning of April 24, 2025, Maurice Doyle, age 80, passed away in his sleep from lung cancer. Husband, dad, and grandpa will greatly and forever be missed by his beloved wife Sandra Ann Davidson, her 5 daughters, their 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Life will not be the same without him.

Maurice’s wish was to spend the last of his time in the comfort of his own home, with Sandra whom he spent the last 40 years with and was married to for 12 years. To ensure that he was receiving the best care, at 77 years old, his wife made sure that she was there for him at all hours of the day, providing him with everything he needed and more in his final days. They used to do everything together, from watching TV, to cleaning the house, things Sandra is now finding difficult to do without him.

Despite the difficulties faced with heavy hearts relating to this loss of a very special man, Maurice is now reunited with his mother Marie Blanche Bourque, his father Charles Doyle, and his son who all passed before him.

Maurice was a quiet and observant man, who knew he did not need words to express the love he had for his family and friends. He spent most of his time playing poker, utilizing his silent and intelligent qualities, and he also enjoyed doing carpentry work in his workshop, putting his time and creativity into crafting many things for his loved ones. These treasured gifts will be cherished for eternity.

Although a man of few words, Maurice was goofy and loved to make those around him laugh. He was radiant, and his presence was comforting. Even in his last moments, he managed to brighten up a room.

He was a superior example of a man who faced trials and tribulations in his lifetime, but managed to take the lessons he learnt in this journey we call life and make something beautiful out of it. He was a fighter and did not give up on himself in the early discovery of his cancer. He wanted to live but unfortunately lost his battle, and will therefore live on through everyone who had the pleasure and privilege of knowing him.
