My heart was broken when I learned of my Uncle Nicholas' passing. He was a gentle, loving, and kind soul, and was deeply loved by many. He was always there for us and a pillar of support when my dad got sick and he was always by his side. My childhood will never be the same without all the sleepovers my dad would drive me to at my uncle’s house with my little cousins, and the way he would entertain us all with his songs, beautiful voice, and joyous personality. But what I’ll remember most about him is his love for God and his passion for spreading the word of the Lord to all he encountered. As great as our loss was, so was heaven’s gain, and it’s hard to believe that the moment we all dream of as believers has arrived, and that he has been reunited with his maker, his big brother (my Babaka) and his parents (my paternal grandparents). I will miss him dearly, and without him there will always be a void in my heart and in the Roussakis family. Our heartfelt condolences to Nicholas Roussakis’ wife, his children and their families.  Nick can now echo what Paul had said in 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”.  And the Lord would say “Well done, good and faithful servant.”  The seed he planted in the hearts of his family, his children, his grandchildren and in the people that he had touched in his lifetime would be his legacy on earth.  Heaven is now rejoicing for his arrival.  We will miss you.

We wish, as is often the case when a loved one departs, we had spent more time with Uncle / Adelfos Nick. We'll never forget Nick's vibrance and intensity, whether it was in moments of joy and whimsy or when it was time to be serious about matters of faith. His devotion to his Saviour, his family, and his church has left a lasting impression on many and we appreciate the example he set for us. We feel privileged to be part of his extended family (even if it is by marriage) and look forward to seeing his legacy of faith passed on to the generations coming up behind him. Our warmest love and hugs to Elly, as well as to Elena, Melissa, Nadia, and their husbands and children.

We used to attend People Church when we lived in Montreal, and Nick shared his heartfelt testimony with us and guided us through the preparations for our baptism. We fondly remember those times.

Dearest Elena,Melissa, Nadia and sweet Elly as well as all of the extended Roussakis  family;
Our hearts are with you all as we think about our memories of our brother and close friend Nick. So many memories of our children growing up together over the years at Peoples Church, memories flooding back of precious times spent together on church family outings, retreats and birthdays. Nick was truly a precious brother and friend who stood by us through the ups and downs of life. “There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother”Prov 18:24 
We thank the Lord for the visit we had with Nick and Elly in April of 2022, a precious gift from Him as well as the visit Camil had with Nick this past summer. Our joy is in knowing that one day we will be together in paradise for eternity. No longer any  sickness, tears or sadness. We will be praying for you during these difficult days with hearts full of love and gratitude.

Mr. Nick assisted me during my baptism. It was  spiritually a very challenging time for me. He shared his wisdom, encouraging me through that time. He was incredibly kind and supportive. He also mentioned his three wonderful daughters and grand children. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. May God provide you all with the strength and comfort during this challenging time.

Our condolences to the whole Roussakis family. I have fond memories of Nick from the 6 a.m. Thursday morning breakfast to the men's' retreat where Nick would go around asking who snores and shooing those who did away, only to find him sleeping on the couch in the main cabin  in the morning.  When I asked,"What was he doing here, his response was, " Some guy across the hall snores so loud that he woke me up, it's a sickness man! a sickness". 🤣 I will miss him.

Dear extended Roussakis Family!
I was privelidged to have met Nick & Elly,back in 1980,when they decided to join our family at Peoples church.Nick would eventually play a significant role,as a board member in helping to bring the church,to it's present status!His imput on the board was always accompanied by wisdom& to the point.He never compromised,when it concerned the Lords' word & work.The scriptures remained his guide at all times.He & Elly raised their children,to believe that Christ was"The way,the truth & the life(John 14:6)& all of them continue to adhere to them to this day& teaching them to their own children. Ultimeately,Nick was a loving caring& as well hospitable individual!
We are lall going to be the poorer without his presence,at the church,but there will come a day,when we will be reunited with him in glory.
May the Lords' richest blessings be his familys' to enjoy,as they reminisce about the good times that they enjoyed with him,over the many years!

I want to pass on my condolences to Nick’s wife, his three daughters, their husbands, and grandchildren.
I had the great pleasure to first meet Nick in 1998 when I started working for Data Business Forms in Brampton, Ontario. Nick and I worked on serval projects throughout the years, and on many occasions, Nick would visit Brampton, or I would visit Montreal. Nick and I also have a connection that precedes 1998 as we were both born in Greece; Nick in Thessaloniki, and I in a small village about 2 hours west of Thessaloniki. We quickly became friends as well as coworkers and shared many great stories. 
Nick’s greatest joy was his three daughters.  He would start most conversations talking about them and the events in their lives. His love for his daughters was always present.
In talking with Nick, I know that his early life was not easy and although he was proud of his birthplace, he truly loved living in Brossard.

I am so incredibly saddened to hear of Nick’s passing.  What an amazing man he was!  As a new Believer in the early 1980’s, I was invited to Nick and Elly’s home in Brossard and meeting their young family.  They always exhibited such warmth and love for each other, towards their beautiful children, but also to everyone who was fortunate enough to know them.  It was evident to me that Nick had a deep and profound love for his Lord and Saviour.  This was foremost  in everything that he did.   I spent 17 years with Nick on the board at Peoples Church, and I got to witness first hand his incredible spiritual insights, his love and faithfulness for God’s Holy Word.    I saw his compassion, empathy, wisdom and his genuine love for all people.  He was faithful in everything that he did and he planted many seeds for the Lord along the way:  seeds of unconditional love, genuine compassion and amazing grace.  I have no doubt whatsoever that those seeds will continue to sprout and grow and bear fruit in peoples’ lives in the days, months and years that lie ahead.   My condolences to the entire family.  “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints” (Ps. 116:15).

It was wonderful seeing Nicholas in Canada this summer. I’m very grateful for his life full of love and the legacy he left. He has touched everyone’s life in a special way. In the words of someone who recently met Nicholas… “the only thing he told me was to love the Lord- and then talked to me Italian because he said Greeks and Italians are the same”.

We meet people in our lives that simply leave a mark on us. Nick Roussakis was a man who loved God and did it his way. 
I remember how he loved Easter. He loved colored eggs and proclaiming , “He is risen! He is risen indeed.!”
May many loving memories bring peace and comfort.

Long and fond memories will remain of this dear man who fathered intentionally, loved his wife deeply, and served passionately at Peoples Church of Montreal much of his life. Nick (the Greek) was hard-headed and yet teachable, dogmatic yet merciful, serious yet with an infectious laugh.  Serving together many years in church leadership, counsel, music and prayer, Nick taught me faithfulness, loyalty, and determination built on a relentless pursuit of godliness out of his love for Jesus Christ. I’m gonna miss that man!…yet with joy for his long-awaited home-going.  My love to his three daughters, three sons-in-law, amazing grandkids, and sweet Elly.

Loved your father and his warm welcoming spirit, his exuberance and zest for life, his guitar playing and singing and his love of his wife and daughters. May he rest in peace.
