Nikolaos Argitis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nikolaos Argitis, who left us peacefully at home on December 7, 2025, at the age of 85. He spent his final moments surrounded by his wife, his children, and his grandchildren, exactly as he would have wished.

Born on January 17, 1940, in Athens, Greece, Nikolaos built a life defined by hard work, generosity, and devotion to his family and friends. In 1972, at the age of 32, he moved with his young family to Montreal in search of opportunity and stability. They first settled in Park Extension and, in 1975, made their home in Brossard, where he lived for the rest of his life.

For more than 60 years, Nikolaos shared his life with his beloved wife Alexandra. Their marriage was one of deep commitment and unshakable companionship. Alexandra was his bedrock—grounding him, supporting him, and bringing him joy every day. He could not imagine life without her, and their love was the foundation upon which their family was built.

Nikolaos was a gregarious, full-of-life man, known for his booming voice and his big heart. He went out of his way to help others and treated everyone with kindness. He had few vices, unless one counts his love of good food.

Above all, he adored children. He was happiest when surrounded by them, and his grandchildren were the great joy of his later years. He leaves behind his loving wife; his sons, Bobby (Nancy), Theo (Lyne) and Jimmy; and his cherished grandchildren Nikos, Alexandra, Flora, Oxana, Nikolas Samuel, Ioanna, Sophia, Pablo, Alexander, and Isaac.

He will be remembered with love by family and friends in Canada and Greece.
