June 8, 1933 – May 12, 2019
It’s with great sadness that the family of Wilhelmine “Helen” Jotz announces her peaceful passing Sunday May 12, 2019, at the age of 85, following a short battle with cancer.
She was born June 8, 1933 in Fürth Germany and came to Canada in 1957. She was an extraordinary woman who touched everyone that had the good fortune of meeting her. Helen loved to go to the cottage which she considered her happy place and extended family.
She leaves behind her beloved sons, Eric (Annick) and Mark (Katia). She was a proud Oma to Rachelle, Kiefer and Briana.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday May 16, 2019 from 6 PM to 10 PM at La Maison Darche, Dignity Memorial, located at 7679, Taschereau blv. in Brossard (J4Y 1A2).

We will miss Helen's warmth, hearty laughter, and her honesty. Her care for others was reflected in much of what she did, including, quite brilliantly, in her baking. I will miss quiet weekends when Helen would join us for a meal or working in the garden, and more rowdy weekends where she would join for celebration. Rest in peace Helen - Schlaf gut.

Eric, Mark and families.
Nico and I want to pass on our deepest condolence to you and your families . Your mom was a wonderful woman. Always smiling and willing to help. She had a huge heart and was always looking out for others. Even this pass Saturday morning when Nico and I visited her in the hospital , she held my hand and asked me to take care of Nico as her passing would be hard on him. But she also wanted him to know she had a frozen black Forrest cake ( his favorite) in her freezer that all it was missing was the whip cream and cherries!!!
We will miss you Helen. rest in peace.

I will miss Helen coming around the side of the house and calling out ''Hahlo''. She had a real special presence that made people feel like they were exactly where they should be at that moment. Talking with Helen put you in your place, and it was a good place. Always quick with her wit, her generosity, and her frank opinions - a wonderful combination that made for the best of times! My eight-year-old son, heard of Hellen's passing, lowered his head and cried. We were all saddened because her reach was an amazing gift. Her eight-year-old cottage neighbour, who would see her most summer weekends, may just be starting to realize how lucky he was to have such a wonderful person in his life. She will be missed by all who knew her!
