Abel Rodriguez, de 81 años, falleció el 30 de julio de 2026 rodeado del amor de su familia. Nació el 16 de noviembre de 1944. Abel residía en Brownsville, Texas. Su vida fue un ejemplo de trabajo constante, paciencia serena y fortaleza ante las pruebas; un hombre que avanzaba con determinación y que encontraba propósito en mantenerse activo y en construir, reparar y mejorar lo que amaba.
Abel compartió 54 años de matrimonio con su esposa, Juanita Rodriguez. Fue un padre amoroso, un abuelo y bisabuelo entrañable. Con manos laboriosas y espíritu inquieto, siempre estaba listo para un nuevo proyecto: disfrutaba estar al aire libre, mantenerse ocupado y dedicar tiempo a los arreglos que hacían de su hogar un lugar más bello y acogedor. Entre sus aficiones, el béisbol ocupó un lugar especial; fue aficionado de los Rangers, disfrutando cada juego con la misma constancia y entusiasmo que imprimía a su vida diaria.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Juanita Rodriguez; sus hijos: Abel Rodriguez; Rene Rodriguez (Yesenia) de Ennis, Texas; Yesenia Jaramillo (Lupe) de Harlingen, Texas; Karina Rodriguez de San Antonio, Texas; Abraham Rodriguez (Merari) de San Antonio, Texas; Heriberto Rodriguez (Yvonne) de San Antonio, Texas; Rogelio Rodriguez (Aracely) de Brownsville, Texas; Amy Peña (Mario) de Brownsville, Texas; y Juan Pablo Rodriguez de Brownsville, Texas; su hermana, Gloria Garza de Reynosa, Tamaulipas; y sus nietos Lesli, Josh, Mateo, Yudith, Daimyan, Steffie, Samantha Perez, Abraham Jr, Abryanna, Shelby, Seth, y Sebastian. Al igual, su unica Bisnieta Astryd.
La visitación se llevará a cabo en Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, el 4 de agosto de 2026, de 3:00 pm a 10:00 am (del día siguiente). El rosario se recitara ese mismo día a las 7:00 PM.

Abel Rodriguez, age 81, passed away on July 30, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on November 16, 1944. Abel resided in Brownsville, Texas. His life was an example of steady work, calm patience, and strength in the face of trials; a man who moved forward with determination and found purpose in staying active and in building, repairing, and improving what he loved.
Abel shared 54 years of marriage with his wife, Juanita Rodriguez. He was a loving father, and a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather. With hardworking hands and a restless spirit, he was always ready for a new project: he enjoyed being outdoors, staying busy, and spending time on the repairs that made his home a more beautiful and welcoming place. Among his hobbies, baseball held a special place; he was a Rangers fan, enjoying every game with the same consistency and enthusiasm he brought to his daily life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham Rodriguez and Maria Teofila Rodriguez.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Rodriguez; his children: Abel Rodriguez; Rene Rodriguez (Yesenia) of Ennis, Texas; Yesenia Jaramillo (Lupe) of Harlingen, Texas; Karina Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas; Abraham Rodriguez (Merari) of San Antonio, Texas; Heriberto Rodriguez (Yvonne) of San Antonio, Texas; Rogelio Rodriguez (Aracely) of Brownsville, Texas; Amy Peña (Mario) of Brownsville, Texas; and Juan Pablo Rodriguez of Brownsville, Texas; his sister, Gloria Garza of Reynosa, Tamaulipas; and his grandchildren Lesli, Josh, Mateo, Yudith, Daimyan, Steffie, Samantha Perez, Abraham Jr, Abryanna, Shelby, Seth, and Sebastian. Also, his only great-granddaughter, Astryd.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, on August 4, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. (the following day).The rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same day.
