Alejandro A. Cuevas

Alejandro A. Cuevas, age 89, entered into eternal rest on January 15, 2023 at 12:26 am. Alejandro was born December 21, 1933 in Iguala Guerrero to Zeferino and Guadalupe Cuevas. He was one of 8 children and is preceded in Death by his sisters Maria de La Paz, Felicidad, Tomasa, Ofelia, and Alicia, and his brothers Jesus, and Raul Cuevas. Alejandro married the love of his life Irma Cuevas on May 21, 1966 and they shared a beautiful life together for the next 56 years. They had two children Louis and Oneil (Maria Cuevas, wife), and 5 grand children (Dario, Devin, Lauren, Marcos, and Alejandro). Alejandro was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and was a friendly and warm character who loved life and people. He made friends out of strangers, laughed often, and adored his family and his wife more than any words could express. He loved music and dancing was his passion, his infectious smile and warm heart will be missed. A visitation for Alejandro will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will occur Friday, January 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St Luke Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell Dr, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, TX. His pallbearers will consist of his 4 grand children Dario, Devin, Marcos and Alejandro and two of his nephews Rodrigo and Ryan.
