Alicia Garcia

Alicia Garcia, 85, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011 in Brownsville, Texas. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother who devoted her time to her family and her church. She dedicated herself to visiting the sick and elderly. She was involved in many of her church charity functions. She will greatly be missed by all whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Amada Flores.

She is survived by her daughters; Julia Esquivel and Alma Gutierrez; sons, Hector Flores and Ruben Garcia; various grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12pm until 9pm with a rosary at 7pm on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Funeral Mass will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at St. Eugene of Mazenod Catholic Church 5409 Austin Road Brownsville, Texas.

Interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gilbert Gutierrez, Angel Enrique Esquivel, Shane Willers, Ruben Garcia, Hector Flores and Marco Antonio Flores.

Honorary pallbearers will be Manuel De La Paz, Jr. and Ruben Garcia, Jr.

In leiu of flowers please make donations in memory of Alicia Garcia to St. Eugene of Mazenod Catholic Church Construction Fund.
