Ana was born in Brownsville on August 28, 1948. She was the oldest sister of four. She graduated Brownsville High School in 1966 and obtained a Masters Degree from Texas A & I Kingsville in education.
She taught 1st, 2nd and th grade at Resaca Elementary for 31 years.
She married her husband Mike on July 27, 1996 and moved to Los Fresnos. She loved to read and play chalupa. She would celebrate the Fourth of July with her family in her Los Fresnos home. Her favorite time was at Christmas time with family and Thanksgiving as well. She would celebrate her birthday with her sister born on the same month. She was a kind and generous with her family and friends.
She will be missed.
Ana is survived by her spouse, Miguel Cisneros Jr.; her sisters Angie Gracia, Oralia Botello, Challo Lopez and her brother Gustavo Hinojosa Jr.; her cousins Ofelia Arizmendi, Juan Gonzalez (Rosie) and Olga Guillen.
Ana was preceded in death by her mother Andrea Martinez Hinojosa † and her father Gustavo Hinojosa †.
A visitation for Ana will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1200 Lincoln St, Brownsville, Texas 78521 followed by a burial at 3:00 PM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael Gracia, Andrew Gracia, Eloy Botello, Eduardo Botello, Eddie Cisneros, Joe Cisneros, Robert Cisneros, Leroy Cisneros.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Lopez and Gustavo Hinojosa Jr.
