

Ana Maria was born in Mexico City, D.F. to Angel and Ana Cardenas on Oct. 27, 1931. Ana Maria was raised in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico and resided in Brownsville, Texas for the last 61 years. Ana Maria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a devout member of The Lord of Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Brownsville and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Angel and Ana Cardenas; sister, Josefina Perez; step-mother, Ernestina Cardenas; uncle, Carlos Picazo; and her aunt, Maria Luisa Picazo.
Left to cherish her life and memories are her husband of 61 years, Rumaldo Rodriguez Sr.; sons, Rumaldo (Dina) Rodriguez and Francisco (Diana) Rodriguez; daughter, Maria Teresa (Santiago) Paz; grandchildren, Jimmy, Rumaldo Jr., Ricky, Analisa, Clarissa, Joann, Angel, and Marcos; great grandchildren, Azalea Rose, Allister Rivers, and Shane Presley; brother, Hector (Elizabeth) Cardenas; several nieces and nephews; and numerous family members and friends. All of which will miss her dearly until we meet again.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 from 11:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary to be conducted at 7:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Mass will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at 10:00a.m. at The Lord of the Divine Mercy (650 E. Alton Gloor), followed by committal service at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
