Antonio Casanova passed on October 7, 2026, at the age of 69, was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather whose kindness, generosity, and joyful spirit touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. Antonio dedicated many years of his life to working as a truck driver, a profession he truly enjoyed. When he wasn't on the road, he enjoyed life's simple pleasures, especially eating his favorite tamales and sharing laughter with those around him.
Known for his wonderful sense of humor, Antonio was a natural jokester who could brighten anyone's day with a funny story or a playful joke. His warm personality and caring heart made him loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
One of Antonio's greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren. On his days off, he could often be found playing with them, teaching them everything he knew, and creating precious memories they would cherish forever. He took great pride in passing down his knowledge, sharing life lessons, and showing his grandchildren the importance of hard work, kindness, and family.
Antonio was a truly good-hearted man who believed in helping others without expecting anything in return. Antonio leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his beloved wife, Carmen Casanova; his daughter, Yvette Casanova (Raul Barcenas); and his sons, Raul Garza (Nikki Garza) and Augustine Garza (Carrie Garza). He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Jade M. Garza, Anna M. Garza, Raul A. Barcenas, Augustine Garza Jr., Dalila I. Bacenas, and Adani R. Barcenas.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Isabel Casanova, as well as his aunts and uncles.
