Arturo “Turo” Treviño Jr., 65, passed away on October 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born in 1959, Arturo was known for his love of arts, fishing, birds, and bargain hunting.
Arturo is survived by his loving mother, Herminia P. Treviño; four sisters, Diana Hernandez (Ruben Hernandez), Sylvia Treviño, Elisa Contreras (Valentin Contreras), and Estella T. Lopez (Ricardo Lopez); and three brothers, David Treviño (Lupita Treviño), Jaime Treviño (Norma Treviño), and Ray Treviño (Marisol Treviño). He will also be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, to whom he considered his own, and 10 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arturo M. Treviño, and his sister, Mineu Vasquez.
A visitation for Arturo will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, in Chapel of Peace 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
A burial will occur Friday, October 10, 2025 from 3:00 PM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 125 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
