Bartola Moreno

She was born in Tempe, Arizona but lived in Brownsville most of her life. She was a loving mother, a loving grandmother and great grandmother. Those who knew Bartola, knew that she enjoyed gardening, all kinds of remedies and most of all knew that she dedicated her life in caring for her daughter, Gina.

The family would like to thank all those who in some way crossed her path and touched her heart, her providers and neighbors. “Thank You!”

Bartola is preceded in death by her parents, Marcos Moreno and Francisca Lopez Moreno; son, Albert Knowles and daughter, Sylvia Nunez.; brother, Lino Moreno; sisters, Severa Ramirez and Soledad Chavez.

She is survived by her children, Rafael Dorado (Cecilia), Juan Antonio Dorado (Susana), Ofelia Dorado, Margie Fricks (David), Amparo De La Garza (Juan), Estela Martinez, Georgina Knowles, Frank Knowles (Lupita), Wally Knowles; brothers, Alejo, Raul, Jose and David Moreno; 40 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren and 11 great great children; many nephews, nieces and relatives plus a long list of friends.

Visitation will be held from 10am to 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

A chapel service will be held at 3 pm on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
