Carol Lynn Little Saldana, a beloved and kind-hearted soul, passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on November 10, 1954, Lynn was a devoted and loving individual who touched the lives of many throughout her years.
Lynn was a resident of Brownsville, Texas, where she was known for her warm smile and generous spirit. She graduated from Brownsville High School before studying Education at Southwest Texas University (present day Texas State). Her career in education spanned 37 years, during which she made a significant impact on countless students and colleagues, including achieving H-E-B Teacher of the Year. Her dedication to teaching was truly remarkable and left a lasting legacy in the community. When she retired from teaching, she was a nanny for several families in the community.
In her personal life, Lynn found joy in arts and crafts and spending time with her kids and grandkids. These hobbies allowed her to express her creativity and spend quality time with loved ones. Above all, her grandkids were her priority, and she cherished every moment spent with them. There wasn’t a holiday, birthday, or special occasion she didn’t miss the opportunity to celebrate.
Lynn is survived by her daughter Missy, her husband Steve, and their children Jody, Mia, and Chip Belz of Pleasanton, TX; her son Charlie, his wife Lily, and their children Natalee & Hailee Saldaña of Round Rock, TX. She is also survived by her brother Gib Little, his wife Pat, and their daughter Rikki; sister-in-law Rosie Galvan; many cousins, friends, and adopted families. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Carolyn Little; her brother, Barry Little; and her ex-husband, Bobby Saldaña.
Lynn’s life was a testament to her love for her family and her dedication to her career. Her kind-hearted and generous nature will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
