Celestina loved to spend time with family playing lotería. She loved cooking many favorite dishes to share with friends and family. She also enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed taking many trips to various destinations to include going to casinos or bingo halls. Was a loving mom, daughter, sister, aunt , cousin, and grandmother. she came to Brownsville for a better life ,she play both roles as a mother and father. She raise 8 children of her own. she would worry about her children and would put them first no matter what. She worked hard by also taking care of my grandpa and grandma as a provider. Even though there were trying times, her children loved her unconditionally. once she was diagnosed with cancer she got depressed and started to shut down emotionally and physically, but she remained a strong woman for her children and love ones. We know that she is in heaven with her loved ones and is resting peacefully.
She is survived by her children Dora Elia Mendoza, Rene Niño, Juan Daniel Niño, Enereida Ramírez, Arturo Arroyo, David Arroyo, Amanda Miguel Ramírez, Miguel Angel Ramírez.
Celestina N was preceded in death by her father Juan Astello † and her mother Julia Astello †; her brother Cecilio Astello † and her sister Rosalinda Astello †.
Also left to cherish her memory are many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation for Celestina will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.

Celestina amaba pasar tiempo con su familia jugando loteria. Le gustaba cocinar muchos de sus platillos favoritos para compartir con familiares y amigos. Tambien le gustaba pasar el tiempos cuidando de sus nietos y bisnietos. Le gustaba hacer muchos viajes para varios destinos para asistir a los casinos y casas de Bingo.
A Celestina le sobreviven sus hijos e hijas Dora Elia Mendoza, Rene Niño, Juan Daniel Niño, Enereida Ramírez, Arturo Arroyo, David Arroyo, Amanda Miguel Ramírez, Miguel Angel Ramírez.
También deja atrás muchos nietos y bisnietos.
Una visitación para Celestina se realizará el jueves, 19 de junio del 2025 desde las 5:00 pm hasta las 9:00 pm con un Rosario a las 6:00 PM en Capilla de Angeles en Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
