Clara was a women of unshakable faith, often reminding us of the power of prayer. Her wisdom, kindness, generosity and tremendous love for her family was unbounding.
Clara was also a career woman. She worked in retail at Three Sisters Clothing Store and Woolworth's Department Store for a combined total of 34 years. Upon retirement, she continued to enjoy gardening, shopping, reading and going to restaurants. She especially loved visiting and spending much time with her children and grandchildren.
Clara Franco is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ramon Franco, her brothers Gilberto Flores, Rigoberto Flores, Eugenio Flores, Edelmiro Castro, Juan Jose Flores and sister Ofelia Anzaldua. She is survived by her sister Mary Flores and brother Alfredo Ewing.
Clara is also survived by her loving children; Ramon Franco Jr. (Jessica), Ruben Franco (Laura), and Patricia F. Franco (David), grandchildren; David Ray Franco (Ida), Anna Maria Davis (Ben), Ruben Daniel Franco (Karen), Steven Michael Flores (Blair), Matthew Franco (Stephanie), Mark Franco (Stephanie) and Jessica Franco (Drew), great grandchildren; Hannah, Luke and Leah Franco.
Our mother will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew her.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, Tx., 78521. Viewing and visitation will be held Monday, February 14, 2022 from 2pm -9pm with a rosary at 7pm in the Chapel of Angels. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 2pm in the Chapel of Angels followed by interment at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, TX.
