Born in Quebec City, Canada, Claudette was the cherished daughter of the late Germaine and Joseph Fortier, and sister to the late Jean-Yves and Jacques Fortier. From an early age, she exhibited a deep sense of care and curiosity, which led her to study and later work as a medical laboratory technologist in Canada.
In 1966, she married Pierre Beloeil, beginning a nearly six-decade partnership built on love, mutual respect, and shared purpose. Together, they raised two children, Patrick and Nathalie. In 1974, the family moved from Canada to Texas, beginning a new chapter filled with challenges, opportunity, and lasting memories.
After devoting herself to raising her children, Claudette continued to share her talents with others. She worked part-time as a French teacher before taking on a role as a translator at DFW International Airport, where her linguistic skills and warm presence made a lasting impression.
Upon retiring, Claudette and Pierre settled in Laguna Vista, Texas, where they spent the last 24 years enjoying the peace of coastal life.
Claudette is survived by her loving husband, Pierre Beloeil; her son, Patrick Beloeil; her daughter, Nathalie Beloeil-Jones; her son-in-law, David Jones; and her three beloved grandchildren: Zander, Vincent, and Anya Jones. Her memory will live on in each of them.
Claudette will be remembered for her grace, wisdom, gentle humor, and deep devotion to her family. Her life was a quiet testament to the strength found in love, learning, and service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Claudette’s memory by making a donation to your favorite charity—a tribute that reflects her generous and caring spirit.
A visitation for Claudette will be held Monday, August 18, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Chapel Service starting at 4:30 PM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
