Cristina Tamayo, age 70, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Cristina was born January 7, 1951 to Concepcion Sanchez † and Jorge Tamayo †.

Cristina is survived by son Ramiro Muñoz; son Mario Muñoz; son Jose Alonzo Mata; daughter Cristina Dimas; son Rogelio Mata; and daughter Flor Estela Mata; sister Guadalupe Sanchez, sister Margarita De La O and brother Joe Tamayo.

Cristina was preceded in death by father Jorge Tamayo † and mother Concepcion Sanchez †; brother Jorge Tamayo †; sister Ernestina Lechuga †; sister Magdalena Camarillo † and sister Maria Carmen Sanchez †.

Cristina also left 23 grandchildren.

A visitation for Cristina will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00PM at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will be Friday, May 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista,125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Services conclude after chapel service.
