She was born May 3, 1948 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. Daughter of Teodoro Gutierrez † and Francisca Maria Diaz de Gutierrez †. She married Armando Vasquez on June 1st, 1976 in Brownsville, Texas.
Cruzita was a loving wife, adorable mother, caring grandmother, a loyal friend that was always there at any time and a devoted Christian. Cruzita was always willing to lend a helping hand without asking for anything in return, always looked for something to do and where she could help, God and family was everything to her. Everyone who had met and got to know Cruzita knows she was an incredible person, always loving, always smiling, always whistling/singing, always had the perfect words to calm a storm.
Cruz is survived by her husband, Armando Vasquez; her son Jose Angel Vasquez (Gladys); and her son Armando Vasquez (Gabriela); her sister Juany Gutierrez and her brother Jesus Gutierrez; her granddaughter Briella, her granddaughter Julieta, her grandson Ian and her grandson Joaquin.
Cruz was preceded in death by her father Teodoro Gutierrez † and her mother Francisca Maria Diaz de Gutierrez †.
A visitation for Cruz will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will occur Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 12:00 PM in Chapel of Peace, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, TX.
