David Tellez
Born in Chicago, David has always been a big fan of the Bears, Bulls and Cubs. A loyalty that was only matched by the love and devotion he had for his family and friends. He was the biggest advocate for all of his brothers and sisters. Never hesitating to be by their side as a shield, a sword, as someone to lean on or as someone to just have a great time and share a laugh with.
David was a devoted son to a father that he thought the world of and grew even closer with when he himself also took on the title of father.
After coming to Texas and losing an amazing and caring mother at the tender age of 13, he found comfort in the sport of long distance running, where he learned how to be strong and push through the hard times. David applied this philosophy to life by never giving up on anything and with anything you do in life, you put yourself into it until the end. He developed a lifelong passion for running and the lessons that came with it, both which he would eventually try to pass on to his children.
He loved movies and loved quoting them even more. Gladiator, Top Gun, Heat were amongst his favorites.
David had the ability to spark up a conversation with anyone he met regardless of where he was at and what he was doing. He always made time and went out of his way to make positive connections with perfect strangers only to make them feel like friends. This made him many friendships that he loved and cherished throughout his life. He was always ready and willing to help any of his friends and family. Some of these friendships were even able to carry him through out hard times in life.
These relationships and connections meant the world to David. “We take nothing with us at the end of our life”, he would say, “but the amazing memories we were blessed to have along the way.”
David was preceded in death by his mother Magdalena Yolanda Tellez†.
