Eliseo R Gonzalez

Eliseo Gonzalez was a "Jack of all trades", his passion was agriculture where he spent years working the land at El Ejido Timones and El Ejido Palo Blanco Tamps, Mexico. He learned to love the land and mechanics on tractors as a young boy while assisting his father, Eluterio Gonzalez to assure the tractors were in working order to work the land and his experience in mechanics expanded to working on vehicles as well. He learned carpentry along with concrete work and built homes and remodeled homes for family and friends.... those who have visited his house can see his handy work and his work at my mom's parents' house at El Ejido Timones. In his younger years he also enjoyed fishing, welding, hunting in addition to grilling while visiting with family and friends. He had a generous heart, always ready to help with money and/or time. He was also tenacious and stubborn which helped to beat his diagnosis of stage 4 Lung Cancer 7 years ago.... He was full of life and determined to fight head on his illness and overcame it by acknowledging Christ as his Saviour who he frequently spoke of with a grateful heart about Christ gift of Life. He loved all his children and grandchildren and enjoyed visiting with each of them. He also frequently spoke highly and praised his wife and recognized how blessed he was by her life. She gave unconditionally to my dad's care until his passing.

Survived by: His spouse, Josefina Gonzalez of 59 years, his daughter Veronica Gonzalez Luna (spouse Santiago Luna Jr, 4 children, Santiago Luna IV, Josue Isaac Luna, Jakob Mathew Luna & Annelise Josephine Luna) son, Eliseo Gonzalez Jr (6 children, Tabitha Gonzalez Cole (spouse Brian Cole), Deidra Gonzalez, Eliseo Gonzalez III, Andrew Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez & Jonathan Gonzalez); daughter, Velma Gonzalez Luna (spouse Paulino Luna, 3 children, Ashley Luna 1 daughter, (Camila Alora Compton (great-granddaughter to Eliseo R. Gonzalez), Pauline Luna, Paul Alexander Luna) & son, Edward Gonzalez (spouse Araceli Gonzalez, 4 children, Dominic Edward Gonzalez, Brandon Austin Gonzalez, Kaitlyn Leilany Gonzalez & Christian Kiano Gonzalez. His sister, Elizabeth Hernandez (Widow), Blanca Peña (spouse Ernesto Peña)Maria Elena Martinez (spouse Fidencio Martinez), Eluterio Gonzalez (spouse Bertha Gonzalez), Jose Elias Gonzalez (spouse Melissa Gonzalez) and Alma Gonzalez (spouse John Sabin).

Preceded in death by: His Father, Eluterio Gonzalez (1963), Francisca Rubio Gonzalez (1982), Ruth Gonzalez (as a young child), Ma Magdalena Gonzalez (as a young child), Juana Mendez (2008)(living spouse Macario Mendez). Parents of Francisca Rubio(Eusebio Rubio & Michaela Garcia Hinojosa). Parents of Eluterio Gonzalez, Felix Gonzalez and Juana Gonzalez.

Una visitación para Eliseo se realizará el Jueves, Mayo 8, 2025 desde la 1:00 pm hasta las 9:00 pm con un servicio de oración a las 7:00 pm en Capilla de Angeles, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. Un servicio de capilla se llevará a cabo el Viernes, Mayo 9, 2025 a las 10:00 am en Capilla de Angeles, en 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. Con un sepelio el Viernes, Mayo 9, 2025 a las 11:00 am en Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
