Brownsville, Ernesto G."El Monaguillo" Garcia 80, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the Brownsville, TX. He proceeded in death by mother; Maria Garcia, brother; Federico Garza, and sister; Andrea Garcia. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years; Magdalena Garcia, son; Ernesto (Irma) Garcia Jr. , daughters; Belinda (Elias+) Ruiz, Sylvia (Sergio) Lopez, Anna (Jerry) Battles, Julie (Alfred) Alcala, son; Eddie (Patty) Garcia, 23 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, and nephews. Ernesto worked for 18 years for the City of Brownsville. He was a vivid Dallas Cowboy & Houston Astros fan. He played baseball for many years, he had the LOVE for the game where he dedicated coahing for many years at East Brownsville Little League, Pony League, and Senior League. Pallbearers: grandsons; Americo Lopez, Albert Plata, Erik Garcia, Ernie Garcia, Danny Ruiz, and Freddy Ruiz. Honorary Pallbearers: Sergio Lopez, Alfred Alcala, and Jerry Battles. Visitation will be held today Thursday 10am - 9pm, October 26, 2017 with a Rosary at 7pm. A Chapel Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 1pm followed by a committal service to RoseLawn Memorial Gardens Burial Park.
