Esmerejildo is survived by his wife, Cecilia Cavazos; his daughters Lidia Lopez Cavazos, Cecilia Garcia, and Ana Laura Bough; his grandchildren James De La Rosa, Nycole De La Rosa, Beau M. Garcia, Avianna Arismendez, Brianna Morales, Kristen Morales, Joshua Vela; and his great grandchild, Leonardo Pacheco, Alexander Pacheco, Avery Pruneda and Kaliyah Garcia.
Esmerejildo was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Narciso Cavazos and Maria Flores Cavazos.
A memorial service for Esmerejildo will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78526. A Rosary will be recited by the Catholic Daughters at 12:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by the Deacon. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Dr. Santos Tamez, Jr.
