

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Sister Felipa Gomez Villalon died peacefully surrounded by love ones Monday, August 20, 2012, she was 87 years old. She was born to her parents the late Angel Gomez and Beatriz Esparza Gomez, August 12, 1925, in El Ranchito, TX. She enjoyed her youth, her family, and growing up in the small community of
El Ranchito. She married the late Antonio Villalon January 9, 1957, they were married for 41 years. She was a devoted and loyal Army wife and a loving and dedicated mother to her four children. Felipa was a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Cathedral Conception and devote Catholic. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her sisters. Felipa was loved and admired by her grandchildren for her constant support, strength, and perseverance.
Felipa is survived by her children, Manuel H. (Matey) Villalon, Antonio Jr. (Lisa) Villalon, Beatrice (Romeo) Esparza and Henry (Georgina) Villalon; grandchildren, Vanessa Cardenas, Melissa Villalon-Guerra, James Villalon, Anthony James Villalon, Breanna Villalon, Willie Esparza, Romeo Esparza III, Mikey Esparza, Joseph Villalon, Charmaine Villalon, Henry U. Villalon, Gage Villalon; great-grandchildren, Efrain Aaron Cardenas III, Calista Cardenas, and Gabriel Marie Villalon; and her sisters, Esperanza Euresti, Genoveva Gomez (Vinicio Garcia) of Brownsville, Tx; brother Santos Gomez (Bertha) of Huntsville, Tx.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives of Brownsville, Tx.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Villalon; parents, Angel Gomez and Beatriz Esparza Gomez;sister, Eva Gomez Garcia.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Immaculate Conception Cathedral in remembrance of Felipa Gomez Villalon.

Serving as pallbearers will be Willie Esparza, Romeo Esparza III, Mikey Esparza, Joseph Villalon, James Villalon, Anthony Villalon, Oscar Olvera III and Allen Garcia. Honorary pallbearers, Rosendo Garcia, Alejandro Macias, Sammy Euresti and Oscar Olvera Jr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2012 from 10am – 9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
A Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2012 at 2pm at Immaculate Conception Cathedral at 1218 E. Jefferson with interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
