

Francisco "Pancho" Saldana went to his eternal mansion while residing at Sunshine Haven Hospice at 2:20am on December 16th, after 98 years of living a full life spending 75 years of them with his wife Alicia T. Saldana. He is a Brownsville native born on December 10th, 1915 to the late Guadalupe & Georgia Perez Saldana. He was a loving & devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, uncle and brother.
He is survived by his wife Alicia T. Saldana, brother Ramon Saldana (Adelina), one son Fidel Saldana (Amelia) and two daughters Maria S. Hinojosa (Eduardo), Frances Cardenas (Juan - RIP), 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grand children. . He is preceded in death by his mother Georgia Perez Saldana, father Guadalupe Saldana Jr., brothers: Epimenio, Jose, Felipe Saldana, and daughter Guadalupe Perales (Pablo).
Francisco lived a humble life filled with love and compassion. He enjoyed serving others beginning with his service during WWII in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1944 at the end of his term. He served at his church, First Baptist Church and late at Iglesia Menonita Del Corder, with whatever was needed always with a smile. His passion was to praise his Lord and Savior and throughout his journey his faith was what kept him going. He has touched many lives in his many years here and leaves a legacy of service, love, and faith.
