February 10, 1955 – September 13, 2026
Frank Galindo Jr., 71, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away on September 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on February 10, 1955, in Brownsville, Frank was the son of the late Francisco Galindo and Maria T. Galindo. Brownsville remained his home throughout his life, where he built a family, a career, and a lifetime of memories.
Frank shared 45 years of marriage with his wife, Letty Galindo. Together, they built a family that grew to include five children and six grandchildren.
He was a devoted father to Frank Galindo III (Jessica), Heather Galindo, Dereck Galindo, Mathew Galindo, and Ashley Galindo, and a proud grandfather to Rozalynn Price, Savannah Galindo, Aiden Galindo, Evelyn Galindo, Oliver Olvera, and Allison Olvera. He is also survived by his sister, Ilda Bourgeois.
Frank dedicated more than 50 years to the automotive paint industry, building a long career through his knowledge and experience in the field. Most recently, he worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts before retiring.
Those who knew Frank knew the things he loved. He was a devoted Houston Rockets fan, loved hard rock music—especially Ozzy Osbourne—and could always appreciate the humor of Beavis and Butt-Head. But beyond his interests, Frank also had a generous heart. He regularly gave back to his community, donating school supplies to local schools, providing trophies for local basketball teams, and making contributions to his church.
Frank was a proud Catholic and a member of Lord of Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Brownsville. His generosity, humor, familiar sayings, and the many little things that made him uniquely “Dad” will be remembered by those who loved him most.
Above all, Frank leaves behind a family who loved him deeply. After 45 years of marriage, five children, six grandchildren, and a lifetime spent in the community he called home, his presence will continue to be felt in the stories, traditions, laughter, and memories his family carries forward.
