Survivors :Children: Edward & Rita Barrera, Edna-Mae Barrera, Elizabeth Anne Arizmendi, Eloy Charles Barrera, grandchildren: Toby Barrera, Shiela Barrera-Nonhof, Deborah Kopack, Lynzie de los Santos; 4 great-grand children.
Gertrude was born Brownsville, Nov. 15, 1919. Graduated from Brownsville High School, 1939. In Brownsville was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Retired Seniors Volunteer Program, Democratic Women of Brownsville, Brownsville Civic League, Club Guadalupano, Election Board worker.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Assocation.
Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 17 at Del Angel Buena Vista Funeral from 1PM to 9PM with a Rosary at 7 PM.
Chapel Service will be Saturday, June 18 at Del Angel Buena Vista Funeral at 10 AM, followed by the burial at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
