Gilbert Garcia III, 37, "Chuck" was a devoted husband and loving father. After a hard 9 month battle with Leukemia ne has finally gone to rest leaving us far too soon. He was a family man that loved Spending time with his wife and daughters. Gilbert was always happy to gather with family and friends for any reason and enjoyed making everyone laugh with his peculiar sense of humor. He loved music and enjoyed playing his drums, "jamming out", with his friends. Gilbert was an avid fisherman that enjoyed long hours "wetting the line" which led to a love for marine and wildlife. He loved interacting with the community, helping people and the less fortunate. While Gilbert may be gone he left a little bit of himself in all of us and will never be Forgotten. We will all miss him and Keep his memory alive in our hearts.
Gilbert is survived by his wife: Adriana Garcia; his daughters: Persephonie A. Garcia and Aubrey R. Garcia; his parents: Blanca E. Garcia and Gilbert Garcia Jr; his siblings: Melyssa Garcia, Patricia Garcia, Amanda J. Garcia and Jose F. Garcia; his maternal grandmother: Tomasa V. Luna.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his brother: Marcos Garcia †; his paternal grandfather: Gilbert Garcia Sr. †; his paternal grandmother: Mary R. Garcia †; and his maternal grandfather: Francisco G. Luna †.
Mr. Garcia also left behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins to cherish his memory.
A visitation for Gilbert will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM with a Rosary at 7 pm in Chapel of Peace, at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2405 E Tyler St, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are: Gilbert Garcia Jr. , Jose F. Garcia, Kristopher Luna, Ivan Guerrero, Michael De La Fuente, Alejandro Sanchez, Isidoro Garcia and Frank Velasquez.
