

Gonzalo served in The Army from June 15, 1967 to May 26, 1969 as well as Army Reserve from 1973-1978.
Mr. Garcia is preceded in death by his parents, Ventura P. Garica and Bernarda V. Garcia; brothers, Roman Garcia, Ventura Garcia Jr. and Fernando Garcia.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Hortencia Garcia; son, Gonzalo Garcia Jr.; daughters, Norma Garcia and Denise Garces Garcia; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Francisco V. Garcia; sisters, Juanita G. Gonzalez, Altagracia G. Dimas (Jesus); and numerous nieces & nephews; stepsisters, Lupita Guzman and Rosa G. Ruiz.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 10am – 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 1pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista with interment to follow at Rio Grande Valley Veteran’s State Cemetery in Mission at 2520 South Inspiration Road.
Full military honors will be provided.
