Ms. Gracie as my daughter called her in kinder 9 yrs ago.  She was a beautiful person that went great with her smile and personality!  In school or out in public she was the same person...warm and loving it was her nature.  What a terrible loss for everyone here.  Condolences to all her family.

I only knew her from the two days a week I went to the school where she always greeted me with a friendly smiling face. My deepest sympathy to her family, her children, and all who were close to her.

I remember Gracie, I was knew her in Brownsville when I lived there. Never hung out with her, but knew her through and out seeing her familiar face. she had a sweet and friendly personality. Tia Gracie, 
I will always remember the great times that we have shared with you before your kids were born. You treated us like your own and as I go back and remember the things we shared, I start laughing and thanking God for giving us a great aunt. The cooking, baking, catching crabs and the nights that we spent with you when Tio had to go play with his music, those stories were shared with my kids and how wonderful our childhood was with you in our lifes. Love you and I won't say goodbye, just til we meet again.

Just wanted to share this with your family. A couple of months ago, your Mom called me and I was so happy to hear from her. She told me she wanted to share something with me. Ms. Paredes said she had been in the hospital. While she was there she had  the most beautiful experience...that she had gone up to a bright light  and that angels were all around her, she said it was beautiful. She told me she knew she would never be afraid of dying.  I know she is with the angels. We will miss her tremendously as she was very special to our family. Words can not express our sadness. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.

And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,

I lost my grandma on April 30, 2010 and it is ok if you lose someone because you now she is in a better place and she is now your guardian angel. Now when you look up to the sky you see a bright shiny star and that is Grace.

This is such a terrible thing for anyone to go through. My poor Tia, God rest her soul.  I have nothing but GOOD memories.  Memories of her baking & decorating cakes, which I loved watching her make.  Going to Boca Chica Beach & catching crabs.  These are the memories of her that I will always remember!!!! Her beauty, loving heart & sweet self will be missed!  Love you Tio & cousins!  Just remember if you need anyone to talk to, I'm here.  I know how it feels to lose your mother.  Especially relating to Lori, I was also pregnant at the time I lost my mom.  I will never forget, but we have our kids to be strong for.  
It will be difficult.....but it is her heart that beats in everyone of you.  Cherish it, & live everyday knowing your mom did a great job raising you.  Love, Delia(Hammond, IN)

I am honored to have known Gracie, she was an extraordinary human being. Her smile and laughter would brighten any room. She was always full of joy and happiness, especially when speaking of her family. I will miss seeing her, especially during our brief but meaningful encounters at the front office. Felipe and family, I am so saddened by your loss.  I will always remember Gracie for her beautiful smile -- always with her big smile, her sweet voice and soft way.  Sunday, at mass at Christ the King, I sat on the side where she always sat (11:00 a.m. mass) and couldn't help but remember her and picturing her there for so many, many years at the same pew.
