

Grace was employed with BISD for 23 years. She brought joy and laughter to students, teachers, administrators, parents and all who knew her at Egly Elementary. Grace was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved life and lived it to its fullest. She will always be remembered for her friendly smile and beautiful green eyes. We will carry you in our hearts and can’t wait for the moment that we can hear your beautiful voice and see your precious face again.
She was preceded in death by her father, Isabel Torres.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Felipe “Gilbert” Paredes; children, Leslie Marie Paredes (Juan Manuel Segura), Lorrie Ann Saldaña (Jose Alberto), James Edward Paredes and Jesse Christopher Paredes; grandchildren, Jorge Alonso, Jr., Justin Alonso and Alexandra Segura; mother, Adelfa Torres; sisters, Yolanda Garcia, Elvira Trevino and Raquel Avila; brother, Ricardo Torres; and numerous relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12pm to 4pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Visitation will resume from 5pm to 9pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with a rosary to be recited at 7pm.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell Dr., Brownsville, Texas.
Entombment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park Mausoleum.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Juan Manuel Segura, Jose Alberto Saldaña, Jesse Paredes, Ricardo Torres, Jr., James Edward Paredes, Santiago Mendoza, Jr., Miguel Mendoza and Reynaldo Ramirez, Jr..
