

Guadalupe Perez was a businessman and owner of Red Barn Tires since 1973. He was born and raised in Brownsville, Tx. As a young man he farmed with his father and brother. Later, he worked in road construction for several years before starting his own tire business with the help of his wife and children. Lupe was a strong willed, hard-working man who taught his children well and instilled great values. He will be dearly missed.
Mr. Perez is preceded in death by his parents Bernabe Perez and Antonia Perez.
Guadalupe S. Perez is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Petra S. Perez; three sons, Lupe Perez Jr., Jaime (Sylvia) Perez, Manuel (Selina) Perez; daughters, Rosie (Luis) Paredes and Sylvia (Alfonso) Gonzalez; sister, Nena Perez; brother, Tito Perez; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, June 25, 2013, beginning at 2p.m., and continue until 9 p.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 7 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Rd., with a committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Honored to be serving as his pallbearers will be Lupe Perez III, Steve Perez, Rudy Perez, Manny Perez, Ricky Perez, Jaime Paredes and Jaime (Gino) Gonzalez.
