

Hector was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. After 25 years of service at PUB as a Boiler Operator, he retired. Hector was a man who lived a life full of love, always with a contagious smile. He was a courageous warrior who braved the battle of cancer for over 10 years. Through the midst of his battle; he never lost hope, always finding strength in the eyes of his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Hector is preceded in death by his father, Cleofas B. Rivas; mother, Alicia Liceaga; brother, Juan Reymundo Rivas; sister, Norma Alicia Liceaga; aunt, Everard Liceaga.
Hector Rivas Liceaga is survived by his wife, Maria Isabel Rivas; sons, Hector G. Rivas (Amy), Carlos A. Rivas, and Miguel A. Hernandez; daughters, Norma Alicia Rivas and Mayra A. Hernandez; grandsons, Gerald Lee Rivas and Kevyn Garcia; sisters, Gullermina Rivas Tovar (Juan) and Carolina Rivas Ruiz (Samuel); brothers, Ruben Rivas and Cleofas Rivas Jr.
Serving as pallbearers are Hector G. Rivas, Carlos A. Rivas, Ruben Rivas, Cleofas Rivas Jr., Jose Liceaga, Miguel A. Hernandez, Miguel A. Hernandez Jr., and Samuel Ruiz. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Gerald Lee Rivas and Kevyn Garcia.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 from 10:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 1:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista followed by committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park
