Henry Eloy Perez

Henry was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, uncle, coach, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Rocio Perez, and his two daughters, Sofia and Anafernanda, who were the greatest loves of his life and his greatest source of pride. He is also survived by his brother, Juan Francisco Perez, sister-in-law, Veronica Perez, and his beloved nieces, Vianey and Vivienne Perez.

He was preceded in death by his father, Baltazar Perez, and his brothers, Baltazar Perez, Jr. and James Perez.

To know Henry was to know how deeply he loved his family. His wife, Rocio, was his best friend, his partner, and the love of his life. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Henry was a proud father who loved his girls more than words could ever express. Sofia and Anafernanda were his whole world, and there was nothing he would not do for them.

Henry and Sofia shared a special bond through their love of sports. They could spend hours talking about sports, discussing games, players, and everything in between. One of the things they looked forward to most was football season. Henry and Sofia could hardly wait for the Dallas Cowboys season to begin. Those conversations and the time they spent together watching and talking about sports were some of the moments they both treasured.

Henry also had an undeniable love for softball. He loved watching the game, talking about the game, and most of all, coaching it. He especially loved watching Anafernanda play. He was incredibly proud of the softball player she had become and loved being there to watch her compete. Whether he was in the stands watching her play or helping her and other young athletes on the field, softball gave Henry another way to share his love and support with his girls.

Henry was deeply involved in his daughters’ high school offseason softball program and poured his heart into helping the girls he coached. He had a special way of making them believe in themselves. He encouraged them when they were struggling, celebrated them when they succeeded, and taught them that hard work, determination, and believing in yourself could take you far.

The impact Henry made on so many of the girls he coached went far beyond the softball field. He became someone they could look up to, someone who believed in them, and someone who genuinely cared about their success and their lives. The lessons he taught, the encouragement he gave, and the memories he created will stay with those girls for years to come.

For Henry, coaching was never just about winning games. It was about building confidence, teaching life lessons, and helping young girls become stronger, more confident women. His legacy will live on in every girl he coached and in every life he touched.

Above all, Henry was a dad. He loved watching his girls grow, supporting their dreams, and simply spending time with them. His girls will forever miss their dad—their biggest supporter, their sports partner, their coach, and the person who was always in their corner. They will carry his love with them for the rest of their lives.

Henry leaves behind a family who will forever carry his love with them. His absence will be felt in every family gathering, every football season, every softball field, every game, and in all the little moments where they wish he were there.

Although his time with us was not long enough, the love he gave was immeasurable. He leaves behind memories that will never fade, lessons that will never be forgotten, and a legacy of love that will continue through his daughters and all the young athletes whose lives he touched.

His girls will always carry their dad in their hearts. Every football season will bring back memories of Henry and Sofia talking about the Cowboys, and every time Anafernanda steps onto a softball field, a part of Henry will be there with her—cheering her on, believing in her, and reminding her to never give up.

Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we are grateful for every moment we were blessed to have with him. We will miss his voice, his laughter, his advice, his stubbornness, his sense of humor, and all the little things that made him who he was. We will miss having him beside us, but we will never stop feeling his love.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Roselawn, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78526, US, on September 5, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm.
