Irene Lopez

Irene Lopez was a great woman, sister, aunt and grandaunt. Always happy with a helping hand. She was devoted to her family that loved her very much. She did not have children of her own, but had a great amount of nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces that she loved as if they were her own. She will never be forgotten for she will always be in our hearts with memories of her beautiful smile.

Irene is survived by her sister: Francisca Longoria, her nieces and nephews: Yolanda Gracia (Ricardo), Miguel Anaya Jr., Wendy Anaya (Melissa), her grandnieces and grandnephews: Melissa Mason (Frank) Michelle Cantrell (Charles), Ricardo Gracia Jr., her great grandnephews' and great grandnieces: Daniel Mason, Aliyah Mason, Leland Mason, Imelda Cantrell, Charles Cantrell, Jase Cantrell, Ricardo A. Gracia, Esteban Gracia, Eleazar Gracia, Sara Gracia and Angelica Gracia and her Brother in law: Miguel Anaya.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents: Francisca Lopez † and Guadalupe Lopez †; her siblings: Paula Almazan †, Maria Lopez †, Margarita Rodriguez †, Josefa Cruz †, Gloria Lopez †, Amelia Anaya †, Guadalupe Lopez Jr. †, Benito Lopez † and Leandro Lopez †.

A visitation for Irene will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7 pm in Chapel of Angels, at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will occur Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM in Chapel of Angels, followed by a burial that will occur Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Serving as pallbearers are: Frank Mason, Daniel Mason, Leland Mason, Charles Cantrell, Charlie Cantrell, Ricardo A. Gracia, Esteban Gracia and Miguel Anaya.
