Javier Romualdo De Leon, 2 years old, passed away peacefully in his parent's arms early in the morning on Friday, April 29, 2022. He was born on December 9, 2019 at Valley Baptist Medical Center Brownsville, TX, weighing 9lbs 1oz. Javier was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic disorder PIGA-CDG at 2 months of age. He was a fighter until the very end, before he gently passed away into the arms of Jesus.
Javier is the son of Francisco Javier and Rebecca De Leon, and brother to his sister Genevieve Rose De Leon. During his short life, Javier enjoyed listening to music, taking baths, playing with his sister, and being held close by his parents and grandparents. He was deeply loved by his parents, sister and everyone who met him.
Javier was a complete blessing and he will be greatly missed. Let the little children come to me; and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Mark 10:14. Javier is survived by his parents Francisco Javier and Rebecca De Leon; his sister Genevieve Rose De Leon; his maternal grandparents Romualdo and Rebecca Escobedo; his paternal grandparents Gabriel and Letica De Leon; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Javier's celebration of life will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 3:00pm- 9:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will occur Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 10:00am in Chapel of Angels. Followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
