Javier era un gran aficionado al fútbol, siendo Club América su equipo favorito. Fiel a su equipo, en las buenas y en las malas, siempre los apoyó. "Ódiame más" era una frase elocuente que usaba para su equipo.
Le sobreviven sus hijos, su padre Nicolas Serrato, su madre Celia Serrato, su hermana Jessica Serrato, su hermano Alejandro Serrato y su abuela Maria E. Gonzalez.

Dedicated to his three children, Giovanni Serrato, Matteo Serrato, and Alessandra Serrato, they were his life. He always cared for and provided for them. He enjoyed being surrounded by friends and family and spent his life bringing joy to those who knew him.
Javier was a great soccer fan, with Club América being his favorite team. Loyal to his team through thick and thin, he always supported them. "Hate me more" was a witty phrase he used for his team.
He is survived by his children, his father Nicolas Serrato, his mother Celia Serrato, his sister Jessica Serrato, his brother Alejandro Serrato, and his grandmother Maria E. Gonzalez.
Funeral services will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Roselawn, located at 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, Texas, 78526. Visitation will be on February 1, 2026, starting at 12:00 pm and extending until 12:00 pm the following day. The rosary will take place the same day from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The chapel service will be held on February 2, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by the burial at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Javier will be remembered for his unconditional love and joyful spirit.
