Jesus Hector Lopez

Hector was a man who found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life—the quiet of the outdoors and the laughter of his family. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing, especially the time spent in the brush and on the water with his sons Hector and Adrian and nephews Danny, Rene, Cj, and David Gracia. Above all, he was a devoted grandfather who never missed a chance to be on the sidelines, proudly watching his grandchildren compete in their numerous sports games.

Hector was preceded in death by his treasured son, Nicolas Lopez; his parents, Nicolas and Consuelo Lopez; his sisters, Consuelo Alvear and Isabel Orozco; and his brothers, Gilberto DeLeon, Arturo, Nicolas, and Jose Lopez.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Maria V. Lopez; his children, Jesus Hector Lopez, Jr. (Diana), Monica DeLeon (Lauriano), and Adrian Lopez (Delilah Saenz); and his twelve cherished grandchildren: Alondra, Angel, Andres Lopez, Genesis, Laureano, Alani, Carina, Nicolas DeLeon, Aidan, Alejandro, Adaleah, and Abram Lopez.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, located at 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526, on January 29, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 pm.

The chapel service will take place at the same venue on January 30, 2026, starting at 12:00 pm.

The burial will follow at 1:00 pm on January 30, 2026, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
