From 1979 to 1993, Chuy served his country in the United States Army for 14 years, carrying himself with steady dedication and quiet pride. His life reflected the kind of strength that shows up day after day—reliable, hardworking, and rooted in doing what needed to be done.
Above all, Chuy cherished his role as a father and grandfather. He was blessed with four beautiful children and seven grandchildren, and he loved those titles most—finding purpose in family, and joy in the moments that brought everyone together.
Chuy also found happiness in the simple pleasures: cheering on the 49ers, admiring classic vehicles, and occasionally heading out to fish. He was, in the truest sense, a simple, hardworking man—content with the straightforward things that made life feel rich.
Chuy is survived by his sons, Gilberto Rocha (Mariana), Jesus Roberto Rocha, and Jorge Luis Rocha; his daughter, Maria Elena Castillo(Manuel); his sisters, Rosa Maria Rocha De Fortuna, Argelia Rocha, Minerva Rocha, and Aurora Rocha; his brothers, Pedro Rocha (Josie) and Roberto Rocha), and Joel Rocha (Cindy; and 7 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, on August 13, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Chapel Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, on August 14, 2026, at 10:00 am with burial to follow with full Military Honors at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, on August 14, 2026

Jesus "Chuy" Rocha, de 67 años, falleció el 9 de agosto de 2026. Nacido el 14 de septiembre de 1958, Jesús fue un orgulloso residente de Brownsville, Texas, y será recordado con profunda gratitud y amor perdurable.
De 1979 a 1993, Chuy sirvió a su país en el Ejército de los Estados Unidos durante 14 años, desempeñándose con constante dedicación y sereno orgullo. Su vida reflejó esa clase de fortaleza que se manifiesta día tras día: confiable, trabajador y arraigado en hacer lo que debía hacerse.
Por encima de todo, Chuy atesoró su papel como padre y abuelo. Fue bendecido con cuatro hermosos hijos y siete nietos, y esos fueron los títulos que más amó: encontró propósito en la familia y alegría en los momentos que reunían a todos.
Chuy también encontró felicidad en los placeres sencillos: animar a los 49ers, admirar vehículos clásicos y, en ocasiones, salir a pescar. Fue, en el sentido más verdadero, un hombre sencillo y trabajador, satisfecho con las cosas simples que hacían que la vida se sintiera plena.
