Joana Alejandrina Castillo passed on April 29, 2026, at the age of 52; she was born on April 5, 1974, and was a resident of Brownsville, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Eduardo Garcia; her children, Azzael Salas (Denise), Alondra Salas (Alonso), Jaime Salas (Kayley), Alejandro Salas (Stephanie), and Jared Elian Salas; and her grandchildren, Aleanie, Alex Jr., Ivanna, and Isabella. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Luisa Nevarez, and her grandfather, Antonio Leos Nevarez.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, US, on May 4, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm (next day). A Prayer Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, US, on May 5, 2026, at 1:00 pm, followed by Burial at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521, on May 5, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
