When Joe spoke, he said what he meant and meant what he said. That's who he was. He was a man who believed in faith, in God, country and family. He took those beliefs to Vietnam as a U.S Marine and that brought him back home to have the career most people only dreamed of having in the Texas Department of Corrections; where he stayed until his retirement. He is preceded to heaven by his first wife Lorraine, with whom they had 3 daughters, Catherine, Melody, and Susan. He would then meet and marry his present wife Rosie, until the Lord called for his return. Joe loved to BBQ and cook for others all the time especially during the holidays. He had many mechanical talents as well as a passion for hunting and classic westerns of which his favorite was John Wayne. He was a respected gun and coin collector. He had recently acquired a new talent of decorating mini cakes with bumble bees for Rosie's tea parties. Joe never lost the appeal to travel and meeting old and new friends along his journey. Joe's infectious laughter will be missed by all along with his radiant smile, hilarious sense of humor and story-telling adventures. Joe, you will always be missed and never forgotten. Semper Fi Devil Dog. A visitation for Joe will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX., 78526.
