Jorge Vega, age 66, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Jorge was born August 28, 1954.

At age 14 got his first bass and played on for many years. He believed in giving his talent of music to everyone and bring on celebration. He was a people person. He was a good husband, father and grandfather.

Jorge was preceded in death by father Guadalupe Vega (†) and mother Consuelo Vega Sanchez (†); sister Maria R. Vega Sanchez (†) and brother Alejandro Vega Sanchez (†).

Jorge is survived by his wife, Lupita R. Vega; daughter Melody V. Ayala; and daughter Melinda V. Lopez; brother Carlos Vega Sanchez, brother Javier Vega Sanchez and sister Dra. Graciela Vega Garza; grandchild J-R Pantoja, grandchild Araceli Ayala, grandchild James Lopez and grandchild Daniel Lopez. Beloved: nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

A visitation for Jorge will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will occur Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista. Services conclude after the Chapel Service.
